Dear readers,
Today we are informing you about current measures in winter cereal cultivation:
- Herbicide measures in winter cereals
Many farms are currently still sowing winter cereals. Last week’s rain has prepared the soil perfectly and the mild weather is allowing the crops to emerge quickly. Now is the ideal time to apply herbicides to crops that have already been sown (e.g. wheat, triticale, spelt). The products are designed for pre-emergence or early post-emergence – and are particularly suitable when the tramlines are not yet fully visible.
- Snail control
This year there is particularly high slug pressure. Triticale, but also wheat and spelt fields are particularly at risk. Check your crops for feeding spots over the next few days. If a slug infestation is detected, we recommend applying slug pellets to the entire area.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Your Allgaier Agrarhandel
